Bugle: My Buddy, My Old Friend š¾
From a six-week-old puppy to a loyal companion through so many years of life, Bugle was much more than a beloved family dog. He was a familiar face at the end of every workday, an enthusiastic playmate, and a steady presence when life was especially difficult.
He had his favorite things, of course. His tug-of-war rope, squeaky ball, and treats were always high on the list. But the most important part of Bugle's life was the relationship he shared with the person who had raised him from such a tiny puppy.
His owner shared these memories of Bugle and what their years together meant to him:
"Bugle has always been a really energetic, playful and loving boy. He always loved to play with his tug of war rope and squeaky ball. He was very good motivated and loved his treats. He's been such a good boy.. He has saved and soothed me mentally and emotionally many times through our time together: Most notably though was his presence after my Father passed last year. I got him when he was 6 weeks old and he has been my best friend and confidant every step of the way. I will severely miss his unconditional love and the greetings at the door when I get home from work. Your little brother Woody will miss you a lot too. I love you Bugle, Buddy and I am so hurt and so sorry that you had to go. I love you so much, old friend."
There is so much history behind a goodbye like this. Years of ordinary days together, favorite routines, shared experiences, and the reassurance of knowing that Bugle would be there waiting when his person came home.
We know his absence will be felt deeply, both by the person who loved him from the very beginning and by his kitty friend, Woody.
Rest peacefully, Bugle. You were a wonderful friend, and you will be missed. š©µš¾
