Vaccinations

We offer a full range of core and lifestyle vaccines, administered in the comfort of your home. Vaccine recommendations are tailored to your pet’s age, lifestyle, and medical history. Please note that a physical exam is required and will be billed in addition to the cost of vaccines.

* For the safety of our staff and in accordance with Ohio law, we are unable to provide care for animals that are not vaccinated against rabies or whose owners do not plan to vaccinate against rabies.

Prescription Medications & Chronic Care

We’re not just here for wellness visits - we’re equipped to help your pet feel better when they’re not feeling well or managing a chronic condition.

During in-home visits, Dr. Sahr can prescribe medications for a variety of medical concerns including:

Ear or skin infections
GI upset (vomiting, diarrhea, constipation)
Allergies or itching
Urinary tract infections
Pain management
Arthritis or mobility issues
Chronic conditions

Prescriptions may be dispensed at the time of the visit, or sent to a local or online pharmacy, depending on availability and your preference.

**Please note that some conditions may become beyond the scope of our practice and require referral to a full-service practice or Emergency Clinic.

End-of-Life Care

Quality of Life Assessment - $150.00

Understanding your pet's quality of life is important during their senior years or when facing a terminal illness. Our veterinarian provides in-home consultations and resources to help you assess your pet's well-being and make informed decisions about their care and end-of-life needs. Each appointment will last for approximately 45-60 minutes. Euthanasia services may require a separate appointment. Travel fees apply based on your location.

In Home Euthanasia

We offer compassionate in home euthanasia for pets, ensuring a peaceful end-of-life transition in the comfort of your home or a familiar setting. This fee includes sedation medications, and euthanasia. Travel fees apply based on your location.

Pets under 50 pounds - $300.00
Pets over 50 pounds - $350.00

Pets over 100 pounds - $375.00

Aftercare Options

If your pet has already passed away at home, we offer respectful in-home pickup and transport for cremation. We’re here to help you through this difficult time.

Service Prices:

Pets under 50 pounds - $95.00
Pets 50-100 pounds - $135.00

Pets over 100 pounds - $145.00

Note: This fee covers pickup and transport only. Travel fees apply based on your location.

Aftercare services such as cremation, paw prints, or urns are billed separately. We'll provide a full breakdown based on your preferences after scheduling.

Aftercare is an essential part of the end-of-life journey for your pet, and we are here to help guide you through this decision. Whether you choose cremation or another option, we will assist you in honoring your cherished companion in the way that feels right for you and your family.

We work with Forever Friends Pet Cremation, who will handle your pet's aftercare with the utmost compassion and professionalism. Forever Friends provides only individual cremations, ensuring every pet is treated individually, with no mixing of remains, regardless of whether you choose to have ashes returned to you.

You may choose one of the following options for the aftercare of your pet:

Private Cremation with NO return of ashes - $150.00
- Includes:
  - Transportation of your pet from your home to Forever Friends Pet Cremation
    - For pets over 100 pounds a direct pickup from your home by Forever Friends may be arranged
  - Individual cremation
  - Your pet's ashes will be gently scattered over a serene, private property
  - Lock of hair, ink paw print by request (no charge for lock of hair, ink prints $30)
  - Website online memorial by request

Premium Private Cremation WITH return of ashes - $350.00
- Includes:
  - Transportation of your pet from your home to Forever Friends Pet Cremation
  - For pets over 100 pounds a direct pickup from your home by Forever Friends may be arranged
  - Individual cremation
  - Your choice of Eco-friendly, biodegradable Earthurn or a beautiful Acacia hardwood box with complete, custom engraving.
    - Additional selections of custom urns and memorial products are available for purchase through Forever Friends Pet Cremation. The company will contact you directly to confirm all of your wishes. You can find the available Memorial Products and Urn selections from Forever Friends by clicking here.

  - Hand delivery of cremains and memorial package (to your home.

Note: Travel fees are charged per visit, not per pet.

Whether we see one pet or several during the same appointment, you’ll only pay one flat travel fee based on your location.

General wellness and medical care are offered within 35 miles of Lancaster, Ohio. We’re happy to travel farther for in-home euthanasia appointments when possible.
