Miss Tilly ❤️

Tilly had been through a lot in her life, more than her fair share, really. And yet she was still such a bright little light. Even when things were hard, there were treats to get excited about, people she adored, and so much of that happy Tilly personality still shining through.

Her mom shared these words about their girl:

"Tilly came into our lives in 2020 as a temporary foster. She was supposed to stay for one week.

She stayed for almost six years.

She'd already been through three homes - a scared little bulldog with terrible allergies, anxiety, and more than her share of medical adventures. She became the most expensive ‘free’ dog I've ever owned…and the most brilliant foster failure of my life.

Last Christmas Eve, Tilly was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We were told we might have 2–3 months.

She gave us nine.

We are incredibly grateful to her veterinary teams for helping us keep Tilly comfortable and happy, and ultimately helping us know when it was time to let her go.

After three homes, I promised Tilly her fourth would be her last.

And it was. ❤️

She was finally home.

I'd foster fail you all over again, Tilly girl. Every single time. 🐾"

There is something especially beautiful about the promise her family made to Tilly. After so much uncertainty early in her life, she never had to wonder again where she belonged. She was theirs, completely, through every good day and every difficult one.

Tilly fought through so much, but she was never defined by the things that happened to her. She was the funny, happy, treat-loving little bulldog at the center of a family who adored her. And in the end, that feels like the most important part of her story. ❤️🐾
