This tribute was written by the person who knew and loved Glamour best. It captures the bond they shared far better than we ever could, so we’d like to share it exactly as it was written.
"In Loving Memory of Glamour
Glamour wasn’t just my cat—he was my companion, my shadow, and one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given.
When I brought him home on August 22, I was living in a tiny apartment and wondering how I was ever going to be responsible for another living thing. As it turned out, Glamour made it easy. He was my first indoor pet and one of the best I could have ever asked for. He was incredibly well-behaved, never destructive, and somehow fit perfectly into my life from the very beginning.
He had a personality all his own. He loved playing fetch and would proudly bring me his ball whenever he was ready for a game. Every morning he would cuddle on my chest, and every evening he would be waiting at the door when I got home from work. No matter what kind of day I’d had, I could always count on Glamour being there.
For nearly six years, he filled my home with comfort, routine, laughter, and unconditional love. He was there through life’s highs and lows, always offering quiet companionship just by being himself.
When he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I was faced with the hardest decision a pet owner can make. Letting him go was an act of love, even though it broke my heart. I couldn’t bear the thought of him suffering.
I hope he knew every day how deeply he was loved. I hope he knew how much joy he brought into my life and how grateful I am that he chose me to be his human.
I will think of him often—especially on July 2nd, his birthday, and every August 22nd, the day our journey together began.
Thank you, Glamour, for the cuddles, the games of fetch, the greetings at the door, and the countless memories. You made my life better simply by being in it.
You will always be loved, always be missed, and always be remembered. 🐾🐈⬛🖤"
