Shiloh was clearly a very special boy who was deeply loved. Amber wrote the following tribute to remember his life, and with her permission we are honored to share her words here.
From Shiloh’s family:
"Shiloh Buff Jones, formerly of Vermont, died on March 9, 2026 at his home in
Lancaster, Ohio.
Shiloh was adopted April 6, 2019, possibly at the age of 3.
Shiloh was a particular grumpy boy some of the time, and other times he was the
sweetest most loving boy in the world. Shiloh didn’t care for many people, but was
very fond of his caretaker Amber and uncle Marc-y.
Shiloh is survived by his caretaker Amber and uncle Marc; aunt Cheryl, uncle Jeff,
and aunt Sherrie; and former neighbor Deb; as well as many other family members
and neighbors.
A private burial has taken place.
In memory of Shiloh please consider making a donation to Homeward Bound,
Addison County's Humane Society, 236 Boardman St., Middlebury, VT 05753, or
the Fairfield Area Humane Society, 1721 Granville Pike, Lancaster, OH 43130.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the folks at Rockmill
Mobile Veterinary Services and End of Life Care. We are thankful for their
guidance, and for the opportunity to say goodbye to Shiloh at home.
Bye, bye, bye!"
Shiloh was clearly a very special boy, and we are grateful to have met him. 🩵
