Some dogs live quietly in the corners of our lives, and others walk in and change everything. Ruthie Shania was the kind who filled a home, a heart, and a lifetime with meaning.
Her family shared the most beautiful reflection of the life she lived and the mark she leaves behind:
“Where do I even start? She was, indeed, ‘man’s best friend.’ In 2010, our son, a young man who traveled extensively, adopted her in Kansas City, seeking a loyal companion. He loved her with all his heart.. After a job promotion, he moved south, and we assumed responsibility for Ruthie’s care in Ohio. She rapidly adjusted to our household, claiming her rightful place as queen. Mealtimes were always special, and the evening snack bag’s rustling sound would fill her with anticipation. We’ve shared 15 incredible years with Ruthie, accumulating a wealth of wonderful memories, always the loving companion and fierce protector, and her absence will be deeply felt. We hope she knew that we provided her with a long, fulfilling life. She was, indeed, the best. Run free, baby girl. 💔”
May Ruthie be remembered for every loyal glance, every protective moment, and every joy-filled day she gifted her family. Her love story will be felt long after her pawprints fade 🐾
