Ziggy - Beside Her Through It All

There are dogs we love, and then there are the once-in-a-lifetime dogs who become part of our identity.

Ziggy was one of those dogs.

For fourteen years, she was there through nearly every chapter of her owner’s life. She arrived when her family was still young and stayed long enough to watch that family grow into something much bigger. She witnessed milestones, celebrations, challenges, and ordinary days that became extraordinary simply because she was there for them.

Her owner described their bond best:

“She’s been my best friend for 14 years. She has grown up with me, she has been there to watch me become a wife and mom. She is everything to me, my soul mate. I know we both were meant to be together in this life. I just wish it lasted longer. I love her so much and I have no idea how I’m going to ever be okay after losing my literal best friend.”

Some dogs spend their lives beside us. Others somehow weave themselves into every part of our story. Ziggy was both.

She was there before six children filled the house with noise and activity. She was there as those children grew. She was there for countless memories that probably seemed ordinary at the time but now feel priceless.

Fourteen years never feels long enough when you’ve shared that much life with a dog.

Ziggy leaves behind a family that loved her deeply and a space that can never truly be filled, but she also leaves behind fourteen years of memories, loyalty, and companionship that will remain part of that family forever.
